Teaching is one of the most rewarding experiences of being an academic. To make this experience rewarding for students as well, I strive to not just provide my students with the highest quality of knowledge possible, but also to ensure they feel safe, so that they are open to engage in serious conversations. In the first class, I talk with my students about six principles that characterize our journey together throughout the semester: freedom of speech, disagreeing with respect, normalizing and forgiving mistakes, ensuring a safe classroom, reading sympathetically and critically, and being self-critical.

Muhammad was hands down the best TA I've ever had. He came to every section informed, organized, and contagiously optimistic. When I needed to meet with him or ask for help on specific portions of the course I missed due to being sick, he was receptive and understanding. Muhammad's approach to running section fostered a discussion environment that ensured students that "guessing is okay", which made attempting to answer questions about new material much more comfortable and less stressful for someone who is generally a bit more shy in section. If Muhammad is teaching other courses, l'd love to take them!
Muhammad was an excellent TF. Not only was his section the strongest source for my comprehension of the material because of how well he articulated ideas from lecture, but he was so warm and understanding even when our section was quiet or hesitant to guess the answer to his questions/share new thoughts. Brilliant man, and we were very fortunate to have him as our TF.
Muhammad Amasha was an incredible teaching fellow, striking the perfect balance between talking to us to help us understand the readings, and encouraging us to reflect on our own and draft our own conclusions about the applicability of the theories discussed. The feedback provided on the reading reflections was always clear and helpful, and we were always pushed academically to reach our full potential. Muhammad was always careful about fostering an inclusive and receptive learning environment, and that was done very well. I do not have any specific points of improvement.
The teaching fellow was amazing and did a great job of summarizing confusing readings. He also helped to curate a positive environment and asked us questions that forced us to think critically about the readings. He was also very understanding and responsive to questions and critiques. Overall 10/10.
Muhammad was a fantastic teaching fellow. He provided extremely thoughtful and extensive feedback on all assignments submitted and took the time to discuss them in person as well if necessary. He was always responsive and helpful over email with answering questions or accommodating personal situations. He was a fantastic TF and I hope to take other classes with him in the future!
Muhammad was a FANTASTIC Teaching Fellow. He made the section fun and open. I never felt intimidated to partcipate, even when I was very unsure. He was funny and engaging, while breaking down the topics to an understandable point.
Muhammad was incredible! His contributions to discussions were always so insightful. I also felt really supported by his feedback on our papers.
Muhammad offered thoughtful questions during class seminars and was always accessible, available, and supportive of students. Truly an amazing presence in the classroom, challenging us to consider topics with increased nuance and rigor.
I love Muhammed, he's fantastic and so nice to talk to, and he provided really good feedback on the assignments in the class!
He was super helpful with office hours and being transparent about the readings and assignments we had due every week.
He was great! Very clear explanations and tried hard to engage the students in section.
Great TF! Very responsive and supportive.
Amazing TF and even kinder individual.
